Accentuating the Invisible

What we don’t know we imitate.

“If you want to be professional, look professional.”

But sometimes this gets us in trouble.

Like a recent college grad printing his résumé (2 unpaid internships, 1 summer pizza delivery) on fancy paper and writing “utilize” in his mission statement.

Or when a talented graphic designer spends time on a fancy brand book and visual roadmap. She is better at proposing art than executing it.

Stop expressing how or when you’re going to do something.

Don’t compensate, generate.
