Impatience is a Virtue

Do you ever throw caution to the wind?

The outcomes vary: debt, sorrow, stale friendships, weight loss, weight gain, bad grades, job offers, and more.

So I’m convinced there’s a benefit to action > inaction mentality.

You might ask yourself, “What does success mean to me?*

Maybe it’s a paycheck, or city to call home, or a BMI ratio, whatever.

For me, success is a free schedule. But I don’t want to do nothing, I just want the freedom to do nothing.

So I chase money. Money = freedom.

And to realize that freedom I must have marketable skills.

So my tactical approach is simple — acquire skills.

I crush books on the subway and pick up side gigs on the weekend. This has been my style since college. After all, I can sleep when I’m dead and throwing frisbees in a university courtyard wasn’t a worthwhile opportunity cost.

If you want something, take it. Nobody will give you anything.
